Guns, Germs and Steel by Jarred Diamond (second attempt), and The Fabric of the Cosmos: Space, Time, and the Texture of Reality by Brian Greene. Also one called One Minute to Midnight by Michael Dobbs but I'm only reading it once a week or so, so it's taking a while.

edit: Wow, this thread encouraged me to go to Amazon and have a look around, and I just learned about the new Kindles and the new pricing. Absolutely incredible.

This was the last book I read and it was so interesting it was hard for me to put it down:

It is an excellent book for anyone interested in North Korea.
