Reading comics with higher resolution tablets

For my next tablet I'm considering maybe going less than 10", but because I read a lot of comics I don't want a screen where I have to constantly resize and reposition the screen just to read a page.

Can anyone comment on their experiences with comics on the tablets with higher resolution displays?

I'd think that a decent reading app would have options like "fit to width" or "fit to height" which ignores the resolution. I know for certain that's true for Android and I can't imagine it not being true for the iPad.

I read manga on my Nexus 7 2013, which is a 7 inch tablet with 1920x1200 display and everything looks great and very readable.

I also use my 8 inch Dell Venue 8 Pro, and find the 8 inch size is more ideal for reading manga because it's larger, but no too large like the 10 inch tablet that I have to move my head around as much to take it all in. Though the Dell Venue 8 Pro has a lower 1280x800 resolution and so text isn't as clear.

For me I think an 8 inch tablet with at least a 1080p or higher resolution would be about right. So I think the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 would be a killer manga or comic read tablet. Also my Nook HD+ is pretty awesome for reading tablet, which is 8.9 inches and doesn't feel too big.
