I agree 100%, this is my all-time favorite car. I drooled over it when it came out back in the 90's.

Thanks for the article.

It's too bad that guy didn't have the chance to drive an F1, or at least take a ride while the driver was really caning it. He sounds like the ultimate F1 superfan.

IMO the F1 is still unsurpassed in its desirability, and I'm not aware of any car anytime in the foreseeable future that would change that.

Ha did anyone look at the speedo on the F1? The very lower half is 0-80, about an inch or two. Then it goes up and up and up and :D.

No matter how hard the Veyron will try, it just won't match the F1. Truly the best and last real super car!

I feel lucky to be one of the few who has seen an F1 in person. I still admire the B&W photos I took of Ralph Lauren's car with my Canon A510 earlier this year.

You took some great pics.

I love the F1 and feel it's the greatest supercar, but it's far from the last IMO. I think, off the top of my head, that the Carrera GT, Enzo, Koenigsegg, and ALL the Paganis qualify as real supercars. Hell, nowadays even an "ordinary" Ford GT or F430 offers more performance than an F40!

It's actually relatively practical for a million-dollar carbon-fiber supercar. It has quite a bit of storage space, including one cubby large enough for a set of golf clubs, and a ride that's adequately comfortable that it can be driven on public roads without fear.

Of course, there is the small matter of the fact that it requires a new clutch every 3,000 miles - God only knows what that must cost!
