Read/Write Access in XP Home

I know this isnt the OS forum, but I need to get this setup ASAP.

I cant seem to figure out how to control who has read/write access to folders in XP Home. I found MS's how to, but it tells me to uncheck the "simple file sharing" option in the folder options window. However, that option isnt there. Any ideas?
 
that was that I thought. But MS claims the option is there in XP home...guess I may need to upgrade.
 
Stuff like that is why it is worth it to me to always pay the extra for Pro. I just don't feel like learning how to use an OS that has certain pieces deliberately disaabled.
 
I just went through the same thing. My mom just got XP Home, so I set her up as a user and my dad as an admin so she doesn't screw things up. Well, one of her programs needs some priveledges, so I tried to give her RW permissions to the folder and it just told me to contact my SysAdmin. Bah!
