Just got this board 2 days ago - not so hot...

  • only 4 SATA ports
  • doesn't OC any better (actuallyworse) than my Gigabyte EP35
  • not true raid - it has software raid
  • you cannot mix non-raid and raid on same mobo - to enable raid means you have to have all 4 SATA ports using raid or have all 4 disabled
  • it's loud - the NB gets too hot too touch, even with fan on it which is loud

after owing 4 straight nforce boards the last two I have bought have been P35 boards. I am in the process of decommissioning my 680i board since its on its 6th RMA and its starting the C1E express towards no boot.....

Thepiston.. Are your ram timings good? I was thinking of buying OCZ ram with 5-5-5-18
Also.. Does the p35 board support Wolfdale E8400? I have heard that the P35 Pro recognized someone's E8400. But, I don't know about the Non Pro p35s. Any help appreciated.

The EP will recognize the Wolfdale - it did mine. My timings on the Ballistix are 4-4-4-12 now which is what this stuff is rated at. I had the timings very loose at one point. My ram is definitely part of the reason my CPU only OCs to 3.8 or so, but this board has it's drawbacks. The raid things really kills it for me.
