Per [H]:
Galaxy Abandons North American GPU Market
The North American GPU market has been one that is at many times a swirling mass of product. For the last few years though, we have seen the waters calm in that regard as video card board partners have somewhat solidified and we have seen solid players emerge and keep the stage. Except now we seen one exit stage left....

...Galaxy North America has been a long time favorite of ours here at HardOCP. Sadly, as we move into February it looks like Galaxy's NVIDIA based video cards will soon no longer be a choice that computer hardware enthusiasts and gamers have to choose from in North America...

Strange! I always thought of Galaxy as being right up there at the top of nVidia partners with EVGA. Now it appears, at least for now, they've discontinued selling their cards in No. America. I'm really shocked. You can read more at [H]. This is only a couple of snippets.

Update - 3:44PM CDT - From Galaxy NA's Facebook Page:

"In response to reports of an alleged end to Galaxy’s business in North America, we would like to make clear that Galaxy is not pulling out from the North American market. We have recently had some changes in our structure and discontinued working with our current sales rep in North America but have no intention of ceasing business and operations in the region.

"Galaxy will continue all support and service as usual. We have a full team of staff servicing users’ RMAs and our support hotline is still operating. Our service email is still working as usual, we will continue replacing cards for end users, and our warranties will be honored and valid."
Galaxy posted the above in response on their Twitter page. It sounds like possibly they were being sold by a 3rd party and Galaxy have had some sort of falling out with them. I hope it's only temporary. I credit them with being the ones who pioneered single GPU surroung on nVidia cards as well as always thinking their white PCB designs were cool for modding and their HOF cards were always exceptional performers for someone who would prefer to buy a factory overclocked card.

Glad that rumor is gone :D like the cheap cards. never had the high end ones but they seem to be worth it sometimes.

Well that sucks as it looked like they were on their way to producing some nice cards down the line. Hopefully they get this resolved before they fizzle away.

No. = number ;)

No. = North, in this instance. Sorry to confuse you. ;)

Yeah, I thought they made some really nice cards and being the first to offer single GPU surround was exceptional.

Theu had poor branding and no real niche. Hard to.compete with GB, EVGA, PNY, ASUS

Ive had 3 of their cards, the newer stuff they put out is really top notch, I really like the 24/7 tech support as well, calling California at 0800 CST to no avail due to time difference sucks sometimes.

The North American market abandoned Galaxy.

Always thought their stuff looked cheap and gimped TBH. Will not miss them.
