Ok... There was some program called Office.exe silently starting up. I checked it out and it is indeed a virus. Hahahah Now DNET IS ROLLING!!!!

Eh, are you sure it's a virus? I think that file is on all the computers at my school. 🙂 And they've all been reimaged recently too.

Could you throw me alink about it please? ,my fathers & brothers PC has it 🙁:|
(BTW they both crunch SETI 🙂 )

/me quickly checks for office.exe

Nope. Don't have it (pheeew... )

BUT... I did find something called DeleteMe3.exe. I searched the drives, and it was on the quick time plug in directory. Isn't it odd Apple would have a file name like that for a plug in? And there were more then 1 deleteMe.exe files (deleteMe1, DeleteMe2 etc...).

Anyone know what the hell is going on? I already had a bad day at RC5...

EDIT - Too lazy to check the spelling/grammer. bare with me just this once.

SSP I would definitly scan for viruses and then no matter what trash it ...

Office.exe when scanned didn't show a virus (ya McAfee your good) so I would delete it anyway. Its not like its in your Windows, Quick Time, big woopdeedo. You screw it up, no big deal. Anyways, its not from Apple, they wouldnt name a file that. If it says file is in use by windows and can't delete then scroll up a few posts. TaskInfo. Use that to terminate the program then delete it off the system. Worked like a charm.
