Read Only forum where all the Locked/Deleted threads are moved to

Think it would be an interesting forum, they do something similar to this at SOE's website. That way it will be easy reference if someones make mention of a certain thread along those lines at a later date.

Interesting idea. I dislike the "1984" feel of posts or entire threads simply disappearing as if they never existed. Some of my best OT work has been pitched into the bit-bucket.

i think its a good idea especially in the sense of stopping people from posting "why did X get banned/vacation"
at the same time, from the mods point of view, it would keep around material that was considered not good for the forum. i spose there could be some editing in cases but it may turn out to be more work than its worth.
if i posted a string of pointless slurs, it would probably get locked. simply moving would keep it around the forum and perhaps elicit new threads on the subject, etc etc.

In that case, move the locked threads only to the new forum. Threads that are deserving of being deleted should still be deleted (e.g. the AC parody threads).

but a wall of shame forum would be pretty cool....with a BAN list thread so we know who is banned and on vacation and why or what not

why must the mods take away all the good memories... i hate it when the delete a thread, its even worse then getting banned, because that thread is gone forever. lock > delete. who's in with me?

deleted threads sucked. i posted here about why a thread got deleted and how was someone to know WTF was wrong if it got deleted for no apparent reason. then my thread here got promptly deleted . gg mods

That would be cool. I see stuff in people's sigs all the time and wonder what the heck it is about. Would be nice to read some of the threads.
