theres 20A max on the +12v on my 430w antec truepower PSU. whats the rating on the sonata PSU? i want to upgrade soon and want to keep the 430w. i read the sonata psu has plugs for SATA drives. mine doesn't but theres adapters for that right? i haven't been keeping up with the new hardware much, i started reading up again this week. in my new system i want

-A64 2800 to 3200, haven't figured which i should get yet
-1 gig ram, don't know brand yet
-200gig SATA HD, probably the seagate
-80gig ATA133 HD from old machine
-toshiba DVD from old machine
-liteon 811 DVDR from old machine
-haven't figured out which MOBO yet
-9500 softmod to 9700 from old machine, want to get 6800gt when prices come down a bit
-haven't figured out which HSF yet

should i get the sonata and swap the PSU? i currently have an antec 1030sx and that thing is loud from the 8 80mm fans i got there. i need a new case thats quiet but can cool efficiently.

i think i'm looking at the right information on my sonata PSU and there is a 18A max on the +12V. and yes, there are 2 built-in SATA power connectors.

oh yeah, there are adapters for SATA. link.

Either PSU will be more then enough for your system. The Sonata psu is a single-fan design for less noise, if you don't mind a little noise though either one will work fine.

Where did you find a Sonata with a 430 in it? I've only seen the ones that have a 380...
