<< a letter from nasa (scam?) >>

I don't think so. In fact, I got an email from Bill Gates today telling me that he would personally hand me a check for $10,000 if I forwarded his email to everyone I know.

It may be false from nasa, but it is true. Around me the news heard about it and a bunch of people went to the Gerald R Ford Museum and lit candles....it was all over the news here....

Scam. I seriously doubt that anything of any kind of importance would be transferred (especially from a gov organization like NASA) with the mass-email "forwarding". It's legit if I hear it on the news. Never take mass emails with anything more then a gran of salt.

I hate this people that forward me sh!t like this. I did this webpage for this person a while back, and they always forward me "virus alerts" and chain letters and assorted crap. I got this and I laughed my @ss off, no way will you see candles from a sat photo....too much ambient light. Maybe in the midwest or something, definatly not anywhere near any cities.

That's funny, I heard it was supposed to occur at 4:20, but I don't think it was a candle you were supposed to light. In fact, the e-mail wasn't from NASA either.

Yeah, a couple years ago the newspaper had stories that were urban legends--but were published as if they really happened.
Newsrags only have a partial day to do stories; they don't always check--shame on them.
Rumors don't always stop at the publisher's front door.
