I started to read a book called "The Kite Runner". Finished it last night. But read most of the night. From 1-4AM I think I just wanted to read something other than textbooks for a while, but I think I overdid it. It was a really good book BTW.

Anyways, I was so tired this morning, I decided to take a 10 minute nap at work. ;) It just so happens my boss walks in right when I took that nap.

<---- EQUALS PWNED ;)

Added to that, I am so tired right now, I probably won't get much studying done tonight. Oh well. <sigh> The book was worth it.

I think I saw that in the book store the other day. Is that a new book or a top seller?..because I think I saw it in the front of the store.

How are classes going BTW?

They are going well. :) Thanks for asking. It is a lot of studying to keep ahead, but I seem to be ahead of most of the rest of the class. We shall see though. They have more time to cram for the midterms, while I have to space it out a little more evenly.

The book is extremely good. I would recommend it to anyone. It paints a ver good cultural depiction of people, and a very interesting take on the Islam faith. It leaves it up to the reader, but shows a very balanced view IMO. Also, the main theme of the story is about an uncommon friendship and a father-son relationship. The book is filled with a lot of tragedy and things that made me queasy, but it is a redeeming story. The writing style is captivating and descriptive without being wordy/verbose.

It is a gut wrenching story, and I will admit I cried a little near the end of the book. <shrug> Ahem... anyways, good book, I recommend it.

Good book, though I don't consider it great. For some reason in my head I keep comparing it to Life Of Pi, to which it comes up short.

I have been meaning to read that book. :)

Can you give a brief biopsis of "The Life of Pi"

I don't know why but my university made a huge deal about that book. They were trying to get all freshmen as well as everyone else to read it for some random reason.

I don't really think of them as comparable books. Both very good though. I think I prefer The Kite Runner overall.

East Indian kid + tiger + life raft + good author = Life of Pi.

(So sue me, I ran out of essay motivation when I got my English BA.)
