Reaction to BandAid adhesive?

Okay, I never had this happen before.
I had a small wound that I put a bandaid over.
Now the skin where the bandaid adhesive was on is red and itchy, kinda like a rash.
I've used bandaids thousands of times before without incident.
Anyone have this happen to them before?

Yeah, yeah, go to a doc, yadda yadda, etc.

Yes, it's happened to me on occasion too.

The only things I could come up with:
- It was a plastic bandage, which prevented my skin from breathing properly
- Latex allergy. I don't know that that's my case though, I've used latex gloves already with no ill effects.

I use the fabric bandages now. They actually stay stuck, they're flexible, and they breathe well.

It's fairly common. It's a reaction to the adhesive.
