AvidOC, it sounds like a hard drive problem to me, I had the same with my Maxtor once, the PC would just lock up, and the PSU had to be reset.

I would either suspect that, or a bad CPU.

AMB, i dont think its a hard drive problem because shouldnt the PC at least POST or get past CPU initialisation but i do actually have a maxtor set up as my primary IDE

anyways i have rung up tech support and they are coming round with a replacement MB sometime soon, the CPU has been running faultless for 3 months now and i have changed to see if it works with my old duron ( So much for the 10 days without rebooting )
