I just HOPE that pilots now actually carry GUNS...

The one big problem with that is that like any weapon of self defense it can be used against you, the only way there should be guns on the plane is if they are in a cockpit that is 100% impenetrable and would be fired through gun ports like an amored truck, and even then they should be set up with a fingerprint security device or maybe a remote authorization device from the tower <<not a fan of guns on planes

The only solution is to drug all passengers so they will be unconsious for the entire flight, which has some side benefits, no flight crew other than the pilots, no crappy airline food, you wont have to watch Dr. Doolittle again, cheaper airfare? no drunks taking a dump on the beverage cart and you arrive refreshed from your nap 😀

I'd be more afraid of someone without a box cutter then with! Most untrained attackers using weapons rely on the weapon too much. In other words, they dunno what their doin so make obvious mistakes.
So, unless there trained ninja's with box cutters, I'ma stand up and whip some wanna be pilots ASS!

I think you'll find more than a few people onboard who are willing to come to blows. Only bad thing is many of them probably have warrants out for their arrest, and as such, these hero's would get cuffed later, but that's another discussion for our lame legal system.
