Previous install began to go bad, numerous bsods, errors, etc. So I go to reinstall windows and setup hangs after "setup is inspecting your hardware". Setup inspecting hardware will show on screen for 2-3 seconds then it goes to a black screen and hangs. I don't know what the problem is, ive swapped video cards, memory, ran 20 hour memtest and everything checked out, reverting BIOS to default settings, taken out sound card, capture card. I am lost and don't know what to do. Any replies are appreciated.

Might be an obvious question, but did you disconnect your ethernet cable when installing XP?

My rig always BSODes and reboots if I try to install XP or the nforce network driver if the ethernet cable is plugged in.

Problem fixed.. It was an issue with my linux partition. When cleaning, the GRUB partition wasn't removed and it was interfering with the setup.
