I 'm having trouble with CD-Copy in Nero 5.5.
Basically, It does not particularly like my DVD drive and CD-RW on the same Secondary IDE channel.
I get an error saying this situation may cause Buffer underruns.
The DVD is set up as Master and CR-RW as slave on the secondary.
Should I switch the CD-RW as slave on the PRIMARY IDE with my HDD AS Master.
Any comments or suggestions appreciated. Thanks in advance.

BTW both drives are Lite-on LTD-163 (DVD) and 24X CD-RW, but I don't think that matters in the end.
Just a plug-in for Lite-ons .

ive burned cd's on the same ide channel before. I would go ahead and try it, what could it hurt? and if the cd/rw has burnproof, then you have no problems. I say nero is just being paranoid.

personally, I think Nero is fine, I get that message too and have had few problems. And if it doesn't work and makes a coaster, hey, there's some deal on CD-R's every week at someplace.

if you want to leave it 'as is' make it copy to the HDD first (uncheck "fly burning"), takes longer, but you'll get less coasters than even 'fly burning. problem with coasters is you dont always know the CD is bad until its too late.

if you do stuff that requires CD and HDD activity at the same time, then thats the only way youll lose any performance by putting your DVD as slave to the HDD. copying from CD-HDD will slow down, and maybe some impact on games... really though the HDD isnt actually fast enough to use the cable 100% anyway so the performance drop isnt all that great.
