Re-install OS on master... still access slave?

If i have two hard drives and have 'My Documents' on the second drive. What happens if I want to re-install Windows XP (or a different version of XP) on the main drive? When I boot up, will I still be able to see and access the data on the second drive? Will I need to use the same NTFS username and password on the re-installed OS to access the data?

As long as the data on your secondary drive isn't encrypted, you should be fine. You may have to take ownership of the files, but with administrative permissions that won't be a problem.
