Re-inking HP cartidges

themadmonk, when I used to own a 660Cse, I used a kit made by DataProducts. Worked pretty well in my opinon.

Too messy, 12-15$ u can get refurbished ones, try them I have been using 700 series cartridges for 7-8 months, the quality is indistinguishable from the new ones.

I tried one of those bottom re-filling kits and like Goraj said, way too messy. I
got more ink on me than in the cartridge, so was just wondering if I was alone
or if I was doing something wrong.

Thanks though.

Interesting that you mention this...a friend I'm doing some consulting for has a Deskjet 612C. He recently refilled his black and color cartridges at Inkjet Canada. The black works fine, but the color had BIG problems with the yellow not coming out at all. After a long spiel from the tech there (and a sales pitch trying to get us to trade the printer in to them for a color cartridge on a 932 *grrr*), we returned the color cartridge for money and bought an HP color cartridge. Apparently, HP has some type of system that sabotages the yellow color on these cartridges. I wish I could find cheap RELIABLE color refill cartridges for the things up here in Canada.

Not sure if this is a common problem, but for my HP printer the inkjets would die before they were out of ink for the color. Black refilled seemingly fine. If your getting ink all over you, you've gotta be doing something wrong. Read the instructions carefully?
