I designed this output-only form a couple of years ago and now have to touch it again to make some changes.

I'm looking to update/modernize it a bit - maybe add some color to the title bars..

Any design ideas you care to give?

Please disregard the mis-alignment of the borders - that's a trick of the front end rendering.. the same thing goes for the missing border around the "Score" at the top.

EDIT: also, the layout of the form will need to stay basically the same since the upper management uses this form - they may not be able to handle a new form layout. Names and logo have been redacted to protect the innocent.

DOUBLE EDIT: I'm using Adobe Lifecycle Designer.. has the usual editing tools and options found in many word processing proggies.

If everyone is used to it, why change it at all?

This is an internal document and function should be more important than form.

I agree. If you change how it looks, people might assume it works differently too.

I mostly agree with the aove 2; I probably wouldn't change the structure at this point.

Though if you just wanted to add some color, or gradients to the title bars, or fix some of your very minor alignment issues, etc - basically pretty it up without changing the flow - I don't see why that would be a problem.
