Re-badged CDRW...how do u know?

I remember a while ago MysticMan1 posting how to know if your CDRW was a re-badged model or not. Also i remember him saying about hte last few digits in the serial # on teh box and what rebadged model they were, wether it was Acer, lite-on...etc. Does ANYONE have any idea where i could find this information? i"ve looked but sofar without success. Also, are CenDyne drives rebadged at all??

all cendynes are rebadged. they don't make crap. neither does buslink. i need to start sending in my rebates for that drive.
