okay I got another basic question like always and you guys here seem to answer them right away. Anyways I am looking to buy a good mobo and I noticed one(Asus - ATX MBD PIII 820 5PCI 1ISA 2RM) that uses RDRAM which I guess only RAMBUS makes and is very very expensive. Anyways my question is can I stick in SDram somehow into the RDRam Slots??

No, you cannot put SDRAM in RDRAM slots. The MTH that was available to translate RDRAM calls to SDRAM has been recalled by Intel...it's buggy and doesn't work and it's slow.

Avoid the i820 chipset....go for the i815E based ASUS CUSL2 instead of the P3C-E.

thanks so much I am so clueless and all I want is to max out the ram and also have fastest ram possible, yet this rdram is so expensive.

In most situations, RDRAM shows no material speed gains over SDRAM when SDRAM is run on a natively supporting chipset.
