RDRAM question: 2 RIMMs or 4?

I'm ordering memory for my new system (trying to find PC1066 but that is another story) and I am wondering if there is a performance difference between 2x256MB modules and 4x128MB modules. I figured that having fewer modules would mean a more stable system, but I'm not really sure about that or the performance issue.

Having more RIMM's is supposed to increase latency, but the real world difference is hardly noticeable, so there is no difference between 4 RIMMs and 2
