Ok i've setup plenty of RDP connections on a single router but now i'm trying to remote into my desktop that is on a different router than the DynDns updater.

So far I was port fowarding Router 1 to the IP of my desktop PC that is on Router 2....Not happening, even though I can ping it from the router 1 without a prob. Then I tried the same port fowarding to the desktop PC on Router 1, and on Router 2 opened that port pointing it at the Desktop PC. I tried using the IP of the PC and also of router 2 in the fowarding.

edit: now looking at the router 1 logs it looks like its getting there and it knows where to send it. Just seems like router 2 isn't fwd'in to the right spot....

here is a snippet of the log
Tue, 2007-02-27 07:05:40 - TCP packet - Source:161.*.*.*,1463 ,WAN - Destination:70.*.*.*,3388 ,LAN [Forward] - [Inbound Rule(6) match]

why double nat? and don't confuse nat/routing with bridging...one set is layer 3, the other is layer 2.

Unless you have a very specific need for the 2 routers, I wouldn't do it that way, it over complicates things.

I have to Internet connections is one reason for 2 routers. ANother reason is I bought the first router orginally to use for its wireless to stream music but it doesn't handle that and the rest of the network traffic well, so then I added the other router.

I was trying to utilize the other internet connection so it wasn't sitting idle. I'll just have to do some more playing and maybe just move certain traffic around and I won't have to try to utilize the rdp through the bridged connection

forgot to add that bridged conenction is on the software side. I used win2k3 server to bridge the connection
