RDC stopped working after upgrade to SP2

As the title suggests, my remote desktop connection stopped working after I upgraded to SP2. I've got the windows firewall off, the ports open, and yes the remote dekstop option is checked on so I'm puzzled what would be causing this problem. I tried changing the ports but that didn't help either. It refuses to connect -- no error is displayed it just closes the RDC window. Any suggestions?
