So I'm building a system that's gonna have 5 SATA HDs, one raptor and 4 400GB 7200.10s. I'm concerned about placing either the 4 drives or the one raptor onto the significantly slower controller on the board because of the highly noticeable performance difference.

Just looking for some commentary on the difference in speed and alternative board suggestions, maybe.
 
Is no response a sign of the fact that the performance impact is negligible or is it because no one knows? 🙁

There were over 60 views and it had dropped off the first page of the motherboard forum so I adjusted my question a bit to see if there wasn't enough information on the board. At over 130 views now, I'm thinking plenty of people are engaged on this forum 😉
 
Since no RAID is used, then it would be easy for you to just swap the drive around and find the best config for your taste...
