I have a question about the SB600 Southbridge.
I was wondering if there will be a RD580/SB600 motherboard for the AMD socket 939 available in the EU, anytime soon?

I was unable to find any suitable information or presentation of future plans for the Southbridge on ati.com, so I have to ask.

Regards,
John

I would doubt it unless it's pin-compatible with a southbridge used on an existing design so that they culd just swap it in production without a new PCB etc.
I guesss that your best chance of that would probably be something using the existing SB450 like the Sapphire.

I've heard romurs about the SB600 and that it should act as a replacment to the SB450. And I also heared that the SB450 had problems with some manufactures. And since i need to get rid of my AGP board, i need a motherboard which preferable is a good investment, and in this hour i prefer the SB600 above all...

My last buy was a nforce3 board, which is fine, but it's has a damaged ATA controller and i'm thinking of switching to ati with all the positive reviews they gotten lately.
