So...we're coming up on a month after the Socket AM2 launch.
ATi's RD580 northbridge chipset has been out there for several months now, and there was a big to-do about how it would work flawlessly with AM2 without any modifications.

So why are the only motherboards out there based on nVidia chipsets? Everything I need to build my AM2 rig is in stock at Newegg. Except an RD580 motherboard from DFI or Asus.

I have my eye in particular on the Asus M2R32-MVP Deluxe. I know the board exists. I have seen pictures of it in both brown and black PCB colors. I want one.

Does anybody, ANYBODY, have any information?

I have been having the same problem in my research. I have been watching NCIX.com , Tigerdirect.ca, www.extreme-pc.ca and kingston computers and i have yet to see one ATI based AM2 board.

At the end of June for MSI and ECS, early July for Asus, Gigabyte, and Abit. This could extend a little due to continued testing efforts by ATI and the suppliers with the core bios code.
