RCR-102 Card reader need help

Hi,

I need help here, I installed the RCR-102 52-in-1 internal card reader. I connected it to the motherboard & turned on the power it didn't power up. When I removed the card reader connection to MB then the PC power-up.

Afer installing again the same card reader, it doesn't read the SD card that I inserted to view the photos. Does Vista home premium load drivers autotically, I didn't see any message "new harware found" when the PC power-up. I even tried the "Scan for new hardware" in device manager.

Am I doing something wrong here, please I need help.

Thanks.

tinkooram,

Didn't the reader come with a driver CD? Or tell you where to go on-line to download the drivers? I don't think Vista loads the drivers, but I don't use Vista, so can't say for sure...

Unless you somehow connected the thing the wrong way to the motherboard's USB header, I don't see how it wouldn't work. Most of these things use generic drivers built into Windows.
