I have RCA infrared, which i bought at Frys for $10, they are very basic and you need to be facing the transmitter. It has a lot of disturbance from light sources and also sometimes from your own hand (if you raise your hand or put in on top of your head.). When you change the channels on your TV or any other equipment there is some disturbance. I would recommend going for the 900Mhz or 2.4Ghz headphone instead.
 
gone already. but 1 question, i know microwaves, cordless fones and wifi interfere with each other. i would expect that wireless headfones wouldn't be an exception?
