Ok, I have purchased 3 of these in the past year and a half... They always seperate around the RCA connections and then the inside wires will start to break. I leave the cable in my car (for connecting my ipod to my head unit) at all times and I think the stress of the Alabama heat during the summer causes havoc on the cable. Can anyone suggest a solution or better cable for the job? Can I make my own?

i know this forum doesnt like monster cable, but i had their mini-mini cable going from my ipod to my car deck and it did not deteriorate (SP) at all last summer during New Jerseys uber heatwave that lasted all summer.

try the monster mini-RCA. if it breaks they have a lifetime warranty.

i have a $5 radioshack one that's lasted 2 years in the south LA heat... sounds like the problem is the user not the heat
