Does anyone know of an adpater that converts RCA output plugs into a headphone input?

Confused yet?

I have a 360 plugged into my T.V. at the moment, however because people are sleeping in close proximity to me, I can't turn my sound up at all. So I'm looking to don a pair headphones, but I can't seem to find an adapter.....

If you do this, how are you going to control the volume?

You can adapt RCA to 3.5mm stereo.

A "Game Adapter" would do this... Logitech makes some.

Otherwise you can get a couple adapters
2 x Female RCA to Male 3.5mm stereo is common
Then a coupler for Female 3.5mm to Female 3.5mm

Headphones into that

I'm not that familiar with the 360 to know if you can control the volume from it. Otherwise you'd need headphones with adjustable volume?

Does your TV have variable audio output and the ability to disable the speakers?
In that case you could just get a 2 x Male RCA to Female 3.5mm and plug into that

this + this

Those two adapters will give him Male in the end though

yeah, i realized this. Obviously the best method would be to send the stereo sound to the TV and use the TV's headphone output if available. Otherwise with the adapter that i edited into my post, he will need some volume control... (unless the xbox menu system has volume control)

While I'm not not competely sure, but it does look like I have a variable audio output capabilities. I have a Sharp 32GP1U if that helps at all.

Would I be able to find that adapter at my local Fry's?

No clue lol, I dont know what a Fry's is :D

Sounds like you get hamburgers and other food there lol...

Edit: Ah, its kind of like microcenter. I dont think you would find the adapter there. So is the Xbox output variable volume? Or where you referring to the TV's output being variable volume?

I just read the manual, and it wasnt very clear to me if that "variable" is only for the internal speakers of the tv. It didnt come out and say specifically that the volume control could adjust an external speaker/headphone. Have you happened to test this?

I have not. I ordered the adapter that you posted, but it hasn't arrived yet. I'll tell you how this works out.
