Rca Plasma TV Dvi to HDMI adapter sound not working

Hello, I recently bought a DVI to HDMI connector as an attempt to get my RCA plasma TV to HD (the front of the tv says HDTV on it). We hooked one end to the tv and the other end into our Time Warner Cable Box. Next we changed the video source to Dvi and the cable was there in hd but there was no sound. The TV was bought at a garage sale and initially the sound didn't work until we put in our own speakers. After going in the channel setup from the menu it went back to the original non hd we've always watched. Also, the sound was coming from the TV speakers instead of our speakers (which we don't mind because our speakers weren't great). Any help on how to fix this is greatly appreciated.

Run an analog cable for sound from the cable box to the TV. There is an analog input on the tv for sound that is associated with the DVI input.

Ok, we got it figured out (even though the analog cables aren't long enough lol) Thanks for the help. 😉😉😉

Scratch that last post, there is one more problem. 🙄 Is there a way to play sound through Dvi on an Xbox 360?
