Not sure if this will work, if anyone can chime in.

I have some speakers in the ceiling at work with the speaker wire coming through the wall. I had a CD changer with this amp (amazon.com/gp/product/B001P2VV50) because the CD changer didn't have a built in amp, with the CD changer running into the amp via RCA.

I recently got rid of the CD changer and just use an iPod. I've been using a 3.5 out to RCA from the iPod headphone to the amp. The iPod has an internal amp, so I no longer need the amp unit itself, but I'm not sure how to run RCA directly to speaker wire.

I found this (amazon.com/Rockford-Fosgate-Speaker-Female-Adapter/dp/B00G352P2C/). I'd just twist and electrical tape the speaker wires to the ends of these, and then I could feed the iPod directly to the speakers and cut out the amp unit. Would this work?

Thanks.

I'll probably just stick with the amp I have, it's already hooked up and working, but thanks for the info. Didn't occur to me the iPod might not have the power to push the speakers alone.
