RCA Cable Modem & Win2K SP2

My cable modem would work when i start the computer but after about 10-15 minute, the connection stalled. The "PC-Link Light" went off and i no longer can received any data. IT's frustrating because that i have to restart the computer in order to get internet access again. I looked on the FAQS and they tell me to unplug and plug back the USB cable (I use the USB Connection instead of Ethernet). That doesn't work.

Help me.

Running Windows 2000 Professional w/Service Pack 2

I know that it's not the cable company because when i plug it into my Windows ME machine, it works perfectly without being disconnected.

looks like sp2 killed your drivers.

that's what happens when you don't use ethernet for a connection. no special drivers required. and you can share it, easily...

either wait for new drivers, or remove sp2. or just work with winme (gasp)....
