That'sDiamond Member "brand hating idiot to you"!

I have 3 RCA TV's in my house:
1. 25" purchased around 1985 - still working
2. 35" purchased around 1995 - still working
3. 20' flat purchased for $119 last month (2005) - still working

We will be taking a look at this TV this weekend even though we are not scheduled to purchase another one until 2015.

Actually, in the past I wasn't much impressed by RCA's lineup, until they came out with there "Scenium" line. Very very nice products.

As Larry points out, the link is dead, and without more details I have no idea which product this is. Although I am not a big fan of extended warrantys (we all know that retailers make a TON of profit from these) I would seriously consider one with a projection tv. I bought one for my Hitachi, and although I never did use it during the 3 year period, it was nice to know it was there. The cost of one new color gun would have been higher.

You really can't judge any manufacture on one particular model TV they change so much from year to year. Do your research online, one of my favorite sites for this are the AVS forums. The year I bought mine (61UWX or is it the SWX? I can't remember but it was the more expensive of the two), Hitachi was very well thought of. The next year, there models went downhill quite a bit.
