I would stay away from RCA DLP tv's. I currently have a 50 or 52" (cant remember) thats been in repair more often than in my house. In fact my actual tv is in the shop now, they gave me a loaner tv for the time being...which is the exact same tv. Going on 6 months now. Two lamp ballast and a bulb....bulb isnt a big deal as thats normal after so long, but the lamp ballast are 600 dollars when out of warranty I'm told. To top it off, they are so problematic that RCA doesn't just sell replacements, they take in the old one and attempt to repair them. Luckily I bought the extended warranty when I bought the tv.

I'm with you. I have an RCA-made 61" InFocus-badged DLP. Great picture when it works...as I recall. If anyone happens to have parts for the 61" InFocus that used to get sold on Woot all the time, PM me. I need the DM3 board, this time.

I saw this deal, and did a little research because it seemed quite interesting.

According to some threads at AVS forums, it has trouble doing 720P over many of its inputs, including DVI. That was a major drawback for me.

I've had an RCA 50" HD50LPW162 since October of 2004; it's been used regularly without a single problem and is amazingly still on its original lamp. Only the remote control has worn out. This model was quite superior to the Samsung offerings at that time, some of which used wobulation just to do 720p!
