rc5 netupdate error

Vagrant

Member
help, my rc5 runs happily away in the background, updating when I go online. Now it has stopped. It comes up with
"netupdate: :unable to open communications channel"
initially it said something about aussie 27, but that stopped when I rebooted.
I have 500 odd packets stuck in the out buffer and zip in the in buffer.
Any clues😕

Had a look in the config screens. No proxy listed.
I got this client from a link from dennilfloss for a dialup connection.

That means it is using the default proxy. If you want to use the team's RR pproxy then in the config menu go to 2 -> 6 -> 3 , and change it to proxy.teamanandtech.com . But if you want to continue using d.net's proxys change it to aussie.proxy.distributed.net (it think, someone correct me if I am wrong). This assumes that you are using the default port which is 2064.
