allright guys, thanks for all the help
I have the TA client running and got my passy and joined TA
now I'll get the rest of my posse networked up(just have to find a hub or two) and see if I can't do some serious cracking.
24/7, 6-10 computers w/ xDSL should at least get a few results

UPDATE:
moved up 32456 places w/1 computer
I now have a second on online (AMD 233mhz)
was working on a third but had some NIC problems
good thing I just ordered 15 NIC's

COOL! 🙂 With that many computers, you are likely to be jumping up the charts by tens of thousands of positions per day for a while! 🙂 Welcome to the Team!

thanx
may only get 4-5 going this weekend til I get anutha hub but that'll be a start

Hey, are you set up to use the AnandTech proxy? If you are, you can get fresh stats updates every 15 minutes.

If you want to do that, you can edit your dnetc.ini file and restart the client to put the change into effect. Make it like this:

[networking]
nettimeout=15
autofindkeyserver=no
keyserver=proxy.teamanandtech.com
etc
etc

and it will fetch and flush to Dnet through the Team Proxy, and you will be able to track your weekstats and fullstats. The blocks still credit to you like before but the Proxy updates its stats frequently. Fullstats update on :15 and :45, and weekstats update at :00 and :30. If you already knew all that, carry on. 🙂

Hi MDCABC and welcome to the TeAm!! 🙂😀

Where do you live in Texas? I'm headed to Dallas this morning for the 3rd Sat computer show. That would be a good place to get a hub, or afterwards a quick trip to Frys. 🙂😀

I'm holding onto somebody's computer for the next couple of months. Just talked to them and it's ok to use it for RC5. I'll just have to hook my monitor etc to it every 12 hours or so and flush it. May be a pain but we need all the help we can get to beat out the Dutch.
