Any tips on installation, software, speed, utilities, etc would be greatful.

Thanks guys!

After installation,
If you are wanting to run RC5, make sure the following parms are in the dnetc.ini file:
My comments are the <----- below:

[misc]
project-priority=RC5,OGR=0,DES=0,CSC=0 <--------------Sets priority to run RC5. Default is OGR

[triggers]
restart-on-config-file-change=yes
pause-on-no-mains-power=no <-------- good idea to set this to yes for laptops, it will extend battery life

[rc5]
fetch-workunit-threshold=320 <---------this should be set based upon your PC speed to hold 2 or 3 days worth of work
preferred-blocksize=33 <------ preferred setting, helps keyservers, reduces network traffic
randomprefix=39 <----------leave this one alone, whatever it is set to

[networking]
autofindkeyserver=no <----------turn off if using a proxy other than distributed.net
keyserver=proxy.teamanandtech.com <--------recommended team keyserver, you can get stats updates every 15 minutes
nofallback=false

[logging]
log-file-limit=100kb
log-file=dnetclog.txt <-----I use a log file because I install the client as a service and run it hidden
log-file-type=fifo

These settings can also be set using the dnetc.exe -config or right click on the cow and select config
