i've been running this for about a week. me and some guys from work joined the team and got our work and home systems all working 24-7.

first few days our blocks were all fairly stable and we started to get an idea of what we were capable of

wednesday we check our stats and our blocks are down by about 37% or so across the board!!!!!!!!!

we check our stats at dnet yesterday and theres no new stats to be found.

check into our stats again this morning and they're down by about 32%

when our manager told us about this project he said oh yea its a cool thing great buncha d00ds and the team needs all the help they can get.. so he's a good egg and we joined forces here -- but putting in 100% effort and getting back about 60-70% results isnt our idea of a cool project

ive checked the threads here and i see talk of something that appears to be the same problem but you guys dont talk in terms that the newest members can easily follow

if there is something we can change in our config or something so we can enjoy the full fruits of our labors then please respond in plain terms step by step what we can do so us new morons can understand and impliment the changes.

if theres nothing that can be done can you tell us that too so we can start rethinking our strategy?

Apparently the distributed.net servers are clogged up. If you are only checking stats there then you are most likely not seeing a full accounting of your contributions, I know I am not.

If you change the settings for your keyserver to proxy.teamanandtech.com then all your work will be submitted and tracked there, then forwarded to d.net.

You'll be able to see your work here.

Then you'll have 2 places to check stats.

Here is the FAQ for joining the TA proxy
here.

You may want to fetch and flush through proxy.teamanandtech.com, and then you can check your stat (updated every 15 minutes!) at http://www.teamanandtech.com/dnet/rc5/ Any blocks you send here get forwarded to dnet, so this way, you can see whether or not dnet is screwed.

dnet has been a little flaky lately. If you check some of the other posts in this forum, you will get a better idea of what's happening there.

The reason for the 30%+ loss of stats is a few of dnet's proxies are backed up.

I just checked mine, and have seen they updated what I've lost for one day so far.
I'm putting out 10,000 - 11,000 blocks a day, and the new update shows 16,000+ for yesterday.
This kind of sucks, as it's not a true "Best Day Ever", but it's better then not getting those blocks credited at all.
I'm still missing upwards of 20,000+ blocks total since mid December.

Let's hope they get everyone straightened out soon.
It's hard enough to have been doing it for so long knowing stats get messed up every so often, and missing all those blocks.
I'll bet it's even tougher for a beginner just getting started, thinking they did something wrong or don't have the client configured right.

Just hang tight, stay with it, and pray they don't lose any (to many) blocks.
