RC5 - CowControl Question

Today I installed CowControl. I have a network in my apartment with 4 of the systems crackin RC5. I wanted an easy way to see if they were alive and producing. So, CowControl seemed to be the thing.

I have noticed a weird anomaly that I wondered if others had found, assuming others use this program. Periodically it will show the same results for two systems. I thought it might be because I had named them all RC5.log. So, I changed the log file name and it still happens. It sometimes displays nothing for a buffer entry or unrelated data. Running this on Win98SE. Anyone else seen this?

I haven't encountered that problem. I used CowControl for a while, but found that I wanted more info than what it gave. I switched to MyCows and have been happy with that. Anyway, if you can't get your problem sorted out you might want to give MyCows a try.

I use MyCows as well, nice little app, has some 'issues' in Whistler (screen resize, but most delphi apps do, even mine) but besides that great application.

Thanks! I've downloaded MyCows and have it running. My only concern was that the author is a DPC member!😉

/me wonders ... is this a Trojan horse? 🙂😀

I did the ole virus scan and it was clean...but...better check my .ini files. 🙂😀

JUST KIDDING GUYS!!!

This thing is totally cool! 🙂😀 I minimized the program and a little info-bar poped up on the top of my screen with the status. I have it tell me how many finished blocks are ready to be flushed.

I can't believe how detailed this program is!
