RC5 client on Pentium 4's

Hey guys, it's been forever since I've been at the DC forum but my little herd has been just humming along.

Some of the older machines I have are being replaced with P4s. I loaded RC5 on the first one (1.8Ghz, I believe) and it's not cracking as much as a 933Mhz machine I have. I was expecting much more. The client I use is probably about 2 years old.

Is this just the way it is? Is there a updated client I should be using instead?

Thank you, BK. Too bad, though. I did some calculations assuming I'd get a linear increase in output based on the Mhz difference of the P2-266s/300s I have now versus the P4's, and if that would have been correct I was looking at about 50,000 blocks/day output.

Now, not. 🙁

You should look into doing a CPU-Trade 😀

That simply mean, you get someone to run RC5 for you and you run a project for them where P-IV is much better..

Eg. Seti and RC5 🙂

I have a Athlon 1200 TB/ 1800+ XP I would be willing to trade for seti if you wants 😀
If you have more machines i can properly find some more to😛

PM me if interested..
