As title said, when I run both RC5 and SETI, they will lock my oc'ed system.
But if i run only one of them, i have no problems to at all for more that 48 hours.

What happened?? is my system considered not stable??
is there anyone out there has problem with running both of'em at the same time??

please help

heng1028, are you running them both at the same time just to test stability? If so, it's probably a good way to test.

On the other hand, if you are running them both because you're a participant in the RC5 and SETI projects, I would recommend that you run only one at a time. You will get more efficiency that way. You can PM me or ask here or in Distributed Computing, if you want more information about that.

By the way, the Anandtech SETI and RC5 teams would love to have you as a member. Are you interested in joining us?

Yeah, when system crashes under heavy load after some time, It's probably not stable (unless you are running Win9x). Isn't it possible that not every celeron can take 100Mhz FSB and remain stable ? :)

isn't it running RC5 is heavy enough for cpu??
what is the reason my system crashed when running 2 of'em but not one of'em??

RC5 uses mainly just the Integer calculations of the processor, while SETI uses the Floating Point Unit calculations, so running both will put some extra stress on the system. As said in previous posts, raise your voltage a little more and see if becomes stable.

i have switched back to 850 because it is not stable at 875 at 1.75 volt.
I couldn't add more voltagge on it because that is my max voltage on my SE6.

850 at 1.7 volt seems stable for me and the 3 mhz FSB will not do a lot better.

currrently burning my cpu at 850 with RC5 and SETI

How does Prime95 compare with SETI and RC5? I was playing with my 366 (BH6, Golden Orb) last night, got it to 550 easy, but I would get errors installing programs and unzipping things. I installed Prime95 and it would get past the processor test. Reset everything back to 366, everything works fine. Guess I'll up the voltage

In my experience with the 566 is that to get more then 100mhz FSB you need 1.75 volts or higher.

but for 566 on my se6
the maximum voltage is 1.75
so i have no idea how to push more voltage out of my SE6
