RC5-72

Hey, there's this new project called RC5! You can check it out at www.distributed.net! 🙂

Joking aside, I know many still have issues with d.net and united devices. Also, there are many other projects which have (in opinion) greater "purpose" than boring old RC5... so I'm not recruiting anyone. I wouldn't be doing RC5 either except for some client troubles I had with another project.

So, I just wanted to throw out an FYI on the current project status. We're getting it handed to us by the DPC. They outproduce us by an order of magnitude on a daily basis.

So, hurry up and find all those aliens and antibodies so we can get some horsepower back on RC5 🙂

Well as soon as I find those last 12 primes in sob I'm back to rc5. Right now I'm only getting ~12k/keys/sec running it with sob. Even though its a long term project we don't want to minimize the amount of catching up we have to do to make it to the top.

I don't think anyone has an issue with RC5 or UD projects not even me. Now as a matter of principle on leader at the helm, that's a different story. Even Nixon resigned 😉
