RC5-72

I notice on the distributed.net stats pages that there is a team for TeAm Anandtech, and that there is daily output to it. Yet I don't see any references to it in on the forum. So is the rc5 effort an active pursuit thing? Are any of the people crunching it on the forum? After some of the other projects and issues involved with them, I went back and started crunching some rc5. It's rather enjoyable as it is a good solid project client and server. Are any others looking at this project with the impending closure of seti original?

It's kinda of a catch 22. I started with RC5 and I kind of liked it. It was a solid client. But with the Dave Mc deal, it was put on the back burner. I know of a few people that go to this forum, do crunch RC5.

The only draw back on this vir of RC5, it's going to take a few YEARS to solve it. But of course, that is what they said about 64.

I think as long as you join any team for Anandtech, they will appriciate it and will be welcomed.

I should be showing some points in it after tonight's stats recalc. I enjoyed the run on Lifemapper here with TA, so will give rc5 a run for a while and see how that goes!

As for taking YEARS........... LOL, who knows. Maybe they will get lucky. On the other hand maybe the points will continue to rack up for a long long time.
