RC cars?

I used to have a tyco rebound when I was younger. So much fun too. Been hearing about gas powered RC cars,etc.

I know nothing about them but am looking to buy a RC car/truck/whatever that can go aroudn 30-50mph or around there. Do only gas powered ones go that fast or what. Hopefully someone will enlighten me as Im completely new at this but would like to buy one.

I really wanna keep it under 150, if that enough money to get one that can do a good amount of speed.

A decent electric should get you about 30 with a higher performance motor. Check out Tamiya and HPI for good entry level kits. There is a glut of nameless companies now in RC and while some of their products seem to be pretty good I prefer to stick to the two companies I mentioned since they've been around for years and their products exude quality.
 
For 150.00 you are not going to get too much. For around 400 you can get a ready to run savage 25. Comes with all you need except controller batteries. Check towerhobbies.com.
