:confused:I'm just making an rc boat the receiver is powered by 1.2v battery and the boat is powered by 4.8v should I use a transistor light sensor but remove the light sensor. And add the receiver motor terminals then replace the led and resistor with switch, battery and motor So the 4.8v battery does not fry the receiver again

Please explain the transistor light sensor, the other light sensor, the receiver motor terminals (do you mean servo motor terminals?) and the LED and resistor. I assume the resistor limits the current to the LED, but what's the purpose of the LED? A diagram may help.

Are you really powering the receiver with a 1.2V battery and not a 12V battery?
