Anyone planning on getting one of these? Im wonder how often they might flip up and over in water when taking off, seems like it would be rough to get one stranded in a big pond or water reservoir place.

well considering its being sold at Walmart, Target and Toys'r'US, I doubt it goes that fast.

Got one, zips along pretty fast. It can take a beating too, I started it out on paved parking lot... slammed it from 10 feet in the air and barely dinged it.

Looks pretty cool...Can it be emerged in water? If it did a nose dive it might sink :p - Wonder if it's durable. Something for my dog to chase maybe...

foam floats

submerged is fine, it pops back out, it DOES suck though if you flip it upside down, hard to get out, dont do that! :)

fairly durable, but expensive :( wait until spring might be al ot cheaper.

I think you meant to say submerged, right?

I've heard not-so-hot reviews about it - basically it needs a flat surface, no thick grass or anything. You also need to buy the battery ($30) seperately.

1) Gravel, Asphalt, Dirt, Water, Sand, and gras
2) I ran it through moderately sized grass today fine, if your lawn is mowed regularly it should be fine especially after rain.
3) Yeah, it is a hobby grade battery/lipo. The chargers aren't cheap for those. If you are into hobby stuff you can buy your own batteries (10-15) and make it work. That is why it isn't lumped into the price.

For the size/power/design $100 new release, with battery and charger isnt a horrible price. Price will go down
