RAZR phone erases music playlist when connected to PC

I have the RAZR, not maxx. OS and music updated. I use Google Play Music. It didn't use to do this, I can only assume an update to the music player did something. But every time I connect the phone to my laptop to add music or take pics off of it, all my playlists are gone. It's infuriating to have to redo them. I have looked in the settings for something about auto syncing or anything to get it to stop but can't find anything.

Has this happened to anyone else, is there something I can do to stop it? I don't want to stop using the music app I have been using.

I have had nothing but problems using google music app on any phone. I stopped using it and its service and use poweramp and get my music from amazon mp3. No issues with my route. GP is just atrocious IMO.

Sorry I can't help, but from my personal experience with it the Google Music app is the worst program ever, I might be exaggerating, but not by much. As with most Google products it's still in beta, but honestly it feels like an alpha to me.
