Razer synapse 2.x is garbage

So I decided to reinstall my razer blackwidow ultimate kb yesterday because my Logitech g710+ keeps ghosting while playing bf3 and Logitech doesn't have a solution. Anyway the first thing that synapse does when I put my blackwidow ultimate back in is fubar the firmware. I had to jump through hoops to get the bootloader to come back up for the system to recognize it and finish the flash. Now when synapse loads it turns off all lighting and lighting control so my kb goes dark but my macros still work. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it but no dice. I tried using the older software but with the new firmware it won't work with it.

Razer this is just the dumbest control software on the market today and you need to fix it. I would like to control my kb lighting while I use it.

I've had to manually edit the registry to eliminate all traces of synapse from my system. I found where it had called my death adder a kb in multiple entries. I'm hopeful that by doing this I can reinstall synapse and it will work properly but I'm not holding my breath.

Edit: Didn't work and I have the same problem.

Now I'm almost certain that the problem is with the latest firmware. If I try to install the old 1.xx version my pc won't see the kb until I use synapse to update the latest and I'm back right where I started.

Synapse works perfectly for me...I have Razer DeathAder Black edition!

Yeah it worked before this past update on my kb and deathadder mouse. The newest update fubarred my kb and I had to resort to trickery to get the bootloader to come back up so I could reflash my kb and regain the use of it. Now however when synapse loads it turns all the lights off on my kb and will not allow me to have any control whatsoever of lighting in any way. I have to exit synapse and then I can control kb lighting again. Everything worked fine prior to this last update. I tried to roll back the firmware to an older version but everytime I execute the old firmware updater software it tells me that the kb already has the latest version and exits. I need to find a way to install the older firmware.
